I am watching the 6 oclock news right now and there is a story on dogs. I just started crying when I heard it. There is a town about 20 minutes from here (Joplin) and the population is around 50k well they said at the Joplin Humane Society last year they had over 10,000 dogs go there and about 70 percent of them were put to sleep because nobody adopted them. (they only give the pets 2 weeks to wait for adoption bc there are too many that come in) This is so awful I did not realize how many pets were without loving homes this is so sad and this is where I live I cant imagine how many there are in the bigger cities like NY. I just wish that people would get there pets spayed so that this number would go way down. Just thought I would share.
