Whenever JoJo wants something, he lets out quiet little barks to get my attention, and then makes me follow him to his "desired" object, so I can get it for him. For example, when he's not playing with a certain toy, I might put it up on the counter, and when he wants it he'll come "tell" me to get it for him. Basically anything he wants that he can't reach, he'll tell me.
He also does it when he wants to go outside. He'll stand by the door and "tell" me he wants to go out. It's not a loud bark...just quiet little barks. It's so cute.
