I keep Nutrical on hand all during their lives. Just make sure he eats well and check his gums if he seems sluggish. If they are not pink as they should be or they look white then I give a dose of Nutrical. The first thing I would do when you get him is to take him to a vet and have him check him out.

I would feed him 4-5 times a day. By supplements, do you mean the Nutrical? No. I never used that unless there appeared to be a need for it. I do give them a vitamin everyday and I have always given them to mine. Good luck!
