Thanks for the update. Wow! What an ordeal! Best of luck to you during the recovery. I've just been through something similar, surgery to repair a cranial cruciate tear. I found it helpful to set up an xpen somewhere in the house so I could limit his activity. I didn't want him jumping off couches or sliding on our wood floor, and I have two other dogs that would have caused him fits.

And if the vet says no unleashed walks, listen to him! I thought it would be OK to let him in the yard unleashed, and the first thing he did was hide under a shed so he could lick his wounds!
