Thanks everyone for making me feel better about it! I actually do have the ones with the guard, but he hates getting his nails cut and he jerked (just like with you, bonbon).
And yes, they do forgive quickly...a few minutes later he was in my lap giving me kisses. I think he knew how bad I felt! But I still felt guilty so I ran to PetSmart and bought him a new toy.
