Default Questions about rotating

I am considering a rotation diet for Nick and Daisy. The idea of it sounds perfect - I mean, who really wants to eat the same thing for the rest of their lives? Plus, there has to be nutrients they can get from one kibble and not another.

I have a few questions, though. My vet is always saying switching foods is not good for dogs. Will the vet look down on the way I care for my pups if I tell him I switch foods?

At the retail store I get my kibble from, there is a "pet food consultant" and she said it is NOT a good idea at all to rotate between brands. She said if you rotate you should only do it within the same brand. Is this true?

When you switch flavors/formulas, do you do it gradually? How often do you rotate?

I know it is a long post with a ton of questions but any and all advise will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!!
