We take Holly everywhere except restaurants and grocery stores. She is usually in her carrier or in my boyfriend's arms. I'm in a wheelchair, so I think people assume she is my companion dog, although no one has asked me which is surprising because we get stopped constantly so people can pet her. I would never lie if someone asked me, but a lot of security pass us in malls and in stores, and have never said anything. I don't know if it's because she's small and is being carried, or if they think she is my companion.

We make it a rule to never put her down anywhere out of respect to people who may have allergies or phobias, but if someone did have a problem then we would have no problem leaving, because we know not everyone is tolerant. I think maybe if she was walking around on a leash it would be different, but because she is always being carried most people don't mind.
