Well, 2 years ago, my daughter was attacked by a lab and has now had 11 surgeries to repair the damage done to her face--so I can understand why she's not fond of strange dogs when she's caught off guard.
Although she's fine with her own. (Wasn't for a while though with the exception of Lexi.
) So heaven forbid dogs not be allowed EVERYWHERE in public....<stepping off soapbox>
Seriously, if I grab my keys and start towards the door, mine all hide.
And I'm sure that Farrah will fill those shoes just nicely.
Just give her time.
