I know it is so hard to travel when you have fur kids. We drive to SC from CT every year and bring our dogs. I go online and look for pet friendly hotels. I even belong to a website called take your pet.com you can type in any place and it will give you a list of pet friendly hotels in the area.
I really don't fly much bc we can't take our fur kids. Daisy is too big and I would NEVER put her with cargo. She would just FREAK OUT!!!
My kids were going to send us on a 30 th anniversary trip and I said we can't go I have noone to watch the fur kids. I have 3 grown children but they live too far away. I am thinking of locating a pet sitter. It is so hard to be able to trust someone. When I lived in another town when Daisy was about 2 we had a wonderful girl who was licenced and she would come over and walk Daisy for about a half hr. That way if we wanted to go somewhere I would have her come over and it broke up the time for Daisy.
I hate leaving them alone for more than 3-4 hrs. I guess it is a good thing that I don't work anymore. lol
