If you are looking for a pet, I highly recommend rescues and shelters. If you have the money, I encourage people to only support the best of breeders, those who are improving the breed. I think of it as being a "patron of the arts", when you support a great breeder, I didn't choose Joey's breeder because I wanted a beautiful dog, I believed in his breeder's breeding program and wanted to show my financial support for it. By the way, beware of breeders who advertise baby doll faces, this overly short nose, may not be a healthy trait, and many breeds seem to be having breathing problems because their nose is bred so short.
Hi Nancy! I am back after a long break! Timing is everything..and when I find the time to start my search..either the pups are spoken for, or there is a long waiting list or no girls. You know it is a long process and that is why I have no pet yet!! I am picky..I have to be honest..I am one of those people that research to the bone..no pun intended.. But I also am trying not to be selfish and do what is best for the whole family..Crossing my fingers..
