I say follow your heart. Go look at this lil guy at the rescue and see how you feel. If there is a sudden connection then I would adopt. I believe everything happens for a reason and there is a reason you came across this dog. We have a jack-a-poo that is 6 yrs old and my daughter bought her from a pet store. There was just something about Daisy that made my 19 yr old daughter pick her. I never owned a small dog in my life.
When my daughter moved to NC to be with her boyfriend (now husband) i she left Daisy with us and I will tell you she has been the love of our lives. She is a very sweet loving dog.
Now 6 yrs later we got ourselves a Yorkie. I really think I will always have small dogs in the house thanks to Daisy and her sweetness.
So go to the rescue and see if there is a connection
if there is and you adopt you will be forever blessed!!
