Seriously? These are sacrifices that we make as pet owners. I'd be willing to be that the number of people who want to take their dogs everywhere they go are definately the minority by quite a large margin. They are not "allowed everywhere" for a plethera of very valid reasons.

And stating that dogs should be allowed in places if children are allowed?

Dogs are dogs, children are humans. There is no comparision. I just don't get that logic at all, but I see it stated quite frequently.
I would never board my pets either. Thankfully, I have a plethera of friends, family, neighbors who are generally willing to sit them while I'm gone. But I would never get mad or upset with them if they weren't willing to do that, for whatever reason. My dogs are MY responsibility, not theirs.
I agree that I think there should be more dog friendly parks and recreational opportunities. I don't think that every store, hotel and restaraunt should start allowing them in though.
