I do agree that for some people leaving a dog in a car is bad, and in Austin this happens a lot and a lot of people have started doing this.
BUT, I drive a Mercedes and they come with a feature that allows you to have a continuous temperature for 30 min after you turn the car off...for this purpose. You just press a button and it's great!!! So if I make a quick trip into a store and come out to find my car window broken, or my baby not in her car seat

because some person panicked I will be VERY upset and take legal action against them.
I might add people here do it and call the police for animal abuse mostly not stealing.
