The breeder seems like a very sweet older woman, but Sasha was NOT treated as a pet, nor was she housebroken. She had a litter by C-section in October, and it was pricey, according to the breeder. Although we don't believe she would EVER mistreat her animals, she told us that Sasha was now up for adoption. We got Sasha in Jan. and are still working on the potty training. She is doing quite well, but it's not 100% yet. We DO NOT use a crate or pee pads, etc. Our home is OUR CRATE, and we are teaching her to ONLY go outdoors. The breeders puppies are $1500.---way out of our league, and she does make her living this way. We see a big change in Sasha since we got her. She seems to love us and her new home very much. If we could ONLY get this housebreaking licked! We HAVE to leave for a day at some point, and do NOT want to use a crate. I have had two miniature schnauzers before from puppies, and never had problems with them when they got trained. We are HOPING Sasha will 'get it' once and for all soon! |
