IMO if your dog has all its shots and you introduce the dogs appropriately and keep them a leash-distance apart you wouldn't need a stroller. It would be great for your pup to walk and get exercise. I know some people have them for elderly or injured dogs who can't walk long distances, but with a puppy that probably wouldn't be a problem. I have a 4.5 pound and almost 6 pound yorkie and they both walk a 4 mile circle with no problem.... the puppy still has energy to play after
