Whether this is Yoshi or not this dog is in CA and and he started out in the mid-west from the chip that he does have. I have 2 other yorkies one is 11lbs and one is 5 lbs and Rocco is definately 7 to 8lbs not 3.5lbs just by holding him.
I was going to make an appointment for Rocco at my vet for his exam soon as a rescue but with this Yoshi situation I expedited this to tomorrow morning and asked if their scanner would pick up ResQ and they said yes.
I personally think that if he has two chips the shelter would be the one that would have missed it and rushed him through the scanning process and not be thorough. Lets all hope and pray that Yoshi comes home either through this situation or he is found! I have my fingers crossed!

I just don't understand why you don't immediately send Mary pics of Rocco. She has been through hell and if it were me and she asked me for more pics, I would send her pics right away and videos and call her on the phone to try and help her ease her mind, not tell her wait until I clean him up.. I noticed you said that your husband was falling in love with him, I just hope that you are not hoping to keep him..I know that they give foster homes first choice so I am just a little concerned about why there is no rush to get answers for her..
