I once saw something on this on It's Me Or The Dog. Victoria Stillwell said that the dog featured on that episode was eating its poop because he ate his food so quickly and went poop so fast that the food didn't have time to fully digest and the dog still smelled the nutrients in the food. I know it sounds strange
....I think she recommended smaller portions at a time. This was lab though.
