She vomitted for 2 1/2 days. I got meds from the vet and I switched her from dry Eukanuba to NV raw chicken medallions. I'm supposed to try to put a little weight on her so she eats two every morning and two at night. She has done great ever since the switch. Last week she was spayed and is recovering very well. I just checked my bag, which btw I only have two left of. The exp date is 11/10/10! Will someone please ease my conscience and tell me that since she's been eating it this long with no negative reactions, we are in the clear?? Thank you.
If you read my post above, you will see what my son said, he is in his third year of vet school and a vet tech now he works at an emergency clinic in my area and he said that healthy dogs can handle a certain ammount of bacteria, salmonella being one of them. but if your dog has an underline health issue and his inmune system is compromise then you could see a reaction. hopefully your girl is fine, I would just NOT give her the last two of chicken, get rabbit or venison and stick to that until the chicken issue is resolve to your satisfaction.
hugs,
