Congratulations for your new puppy! Can you call the breeder to ask what she had been eating?

Make sure you have some Pedialyte or Karo syrup on hand in case your puppy has a hypoglycemic episode from not eating or drinking.

I don't think decreased drinking is a typical response to diet changes. You should take your puppy to your vet as soon as possible for a general exam. Most breeders require buyers do this within 24-72 hours of picking up the puppy.
