I'm sorry you think no one cared. Sometimes, threads just get pushed down if there is just to much traffic. Or, like on Fri or Sat or Sun, there just aren't to many people on at night, my time anyway. (PST) That doesn't mean no one cared, it's just unfortunate. I've had that happen to me sometimes.
