Sometimes there is no way to know what has happened.....they do basic lab work, as I said, to rule things out. They did not explain this to you?

You are right.....the important thing is that she is improving. My guess is it was a bite like they "guessed". One thing I can add though...is that usually if there is a bump they can see a tiny bite mark.
They really didn't explain anything. They just brought in the bill that I had to sign and showed me the medication that they were gonna give her and told me it would be $200.00. I signed it and said OK. Then when they brought her out to me and I went to pay, magically it jumped to $220.00. I asked about it, because I signed a bill OKing $200.00 (and BTW they told me that would be the high end, they had the low end at $169.00) and the guy was like, "I don't know what to tell you, this is her bill for all of the work done tonight." Well of course there's no arguing with them, so I just paid it... kind of another reason why I felt less than satisfied with them. Also, there was no bite mark on the bump, it was just a red bump, same as what my kids look like when they take a fall or one of them throws a toy at another ... I'll never know though...
