Thanks everyone! Sadie is pitiful isn't she? My husband said that he didn't worry this much when he brought his second child home! I really think she'll come around though - she spends time at friends of ours and they have seven dogs including puppies and she loves all of them. We're really trying hard to make her feel important. I feed her first, let her out of her playpen before him and talk to her first when I come in the room. A little while ago Sadie was doing tricks with me and Beemer sat right by her and she didn't care. I already see things warming up a little. I just hate seeing her look so dejected - even just for a while! Oh - another thing I did that seems to be helping both of them is when I was gone this morning I put their playpens side by side. He can't get to her but they can see each other. I think it helped keep him calm and let her get used to him from a distance.
