She is not a puppy, but closer to a puppy than Roxy. Roxy is 3yrs and 4 months, and Lexi is 1yr and 4 months. Lexi is still pretty playful, and so is Roxy, but even though Roxy LOVES playing with dogs at PetCo, etc., she isnt happy about Lexi. She plays with us in the house, but not Lexi.

They are starting to cuddle though at night, Roxy lets Lexi get closer to her than usual.

Theyre not playing yet though, and Roxy still looks at her when she jumps up like "why are you here? Please go away."

I am glad to hear that others have had these experiences and Rob and I talked about the "Alpha Dog" factor, and we knew from day 1 that we would shower Roxy with affection even with Lexi around. We also reward her when she is doing something nice with Lexi, via treats or compliments, etc.

Lexi just started giving kisses too, she didnt at first, but I have gotten 2 or 3 small little puppy kisses from her now. Makes me very happy she is getting attached to us and is looking more happy. You can see it in her eyes. She was so sad when I first got her.
I think with Roxy being the baby I bet for a while it is new to her to have ANOTHER cute yorkie girl in the house. I think your doing really well so far, 5 days is still a very short period for an older dog to adjust. My 3 dogs are all around 1 year. My male likes to lunge at my other female ( bull terrier) more then Lola. But for him it's more like him and Lola are a team and he doesn't want Geneva getting in on any couch loving also! lol
