Prom is a huge deal around here. There was a newspaper article that estimated the average girl spent around 800.00 on their Jr/Sr. prom each year. My youngest daughter will be attending her last Prom this year as a Sr. Although we don't spend quite that much, it is very expensive. It is always a time of great bonding for us, but I will admit, I will be glad when I don't have to fork out the money for Prom next year. I don't know how much our tickets are as the guy usually buys them. It seems they are between $50 to $60 per ticket. A couple of the dresses your daughter tried on reminds me of my daughter's dress from last year (in the pink picture below). This year, she is going short . I have no idea how this will turn out, but she is barely 5' so I think she can pull it off, and she wants to accessorize with fun shoes. The black dress is her dress for this year only it has a hot pink flower instead of black. Your niece is beautiful and I love the black dress on her too.
