When you got your second Yorkie (or dog) did your first Yorkie (or dog) not take it well? Were they okay or snap at the new dog? Growl? If they did, did it ever straighten out? and how long did it take?

Roxy is a VERY social dog. She goes out to see other dogs and she is just so excited I cant contain her! She gets so crazy, she just wants to play with them and love on them and it kinda freaks me out cause I dont want her to get hurt.

I always felt bad, cause Roxy grew up with a bunch of dogs, and when I got her, I took her away from all the dogs where she was born at, and brought her to my house with Chico, who is too old to play now, and Mutzie, who had bad joints, and not to long ago went to the Rainbow Bridge.

Well, Roxy was kinda all alone, and so we felt bad and when we found Lexi, we decided to get her and take care of her thinking, "How great! Roxy will have a playmate!!!"

Hmmm...

This is not the case. Roxy seems to be okay with her at times... and then other times will just go after her. She never really bites her or breaks skin, she just growls and lunges, and its scaring me! Roxy is even smaller than her.
She gets particularly jealous when Rob or I am on the couch with her and then Lexi jumps up to get on the couch, too.

She also freaks out in bed sometimes just out of nowhere. Sometimes she is completely fine with Lexi being right near her, and then all of a sudden she will get mad and growl or snap at her.

I am just really worried about them getting along, and I am worried cause Roxy is acting sometimes like she doesnt want to eat. Tonight she turned down Hamburger and we had to hand feed her to get her to eat her dinner. She always loves her dinner, but tonight, she wasnt having it without some encouragement.

I also feel bad cause Lexi adores her. She follows her around, wants to play with her all the time, wags her little tail at her. She just loves on Roxy. She follows her around like the annoying little sister that you want to not follow you go the mall because she will be a tagalong... lol. I just feel so bad.

Any suggestions?
