Hi all. I haven't posted in awhile because my life has been sooo hectic! A couple times I got on and read the new posts so I could keep up. Anyway, I was a week late in getting Indy's post op bile acids done and I got the report today. Over all, he is way down. His fasting is still above normal, 49 which is down from the pre op of 144. I guess it's supposed to be below 10 to be normal. His 2 hour after eating was great! He's now at 12 which is down from 129 and is in the normal range. I know that I read an article saying why the fasting result may be higher than the eating, even though it isn't supposed to be, but I can't find it again. My vet said she'd like to read it. Does anyone know the article I'm talking about? Anyway, we're keeping Indy on the L/D diet for another 6 weeks at which time we will do another bile acid test and see where we are.
