Place some pee and poo on it. They will get it soon as some other pee is smelled on it. I just use some fake turf with a tray under. Layla would not use it at first, but after she peed next to it, I cleaned it up with paper towel and put paper towel on turf. She will use it not if we are not here to take her out!. They just need to know what it is.
