I cannot see a photo of him to answer. I can give a good guess from photos. Although yorkies don't shed it's possible that he's shedding b/c he was in the shelter. Its easier to go by features. Based on the little info you wrote, sight unseen I would guess he may be a mix of a poodle and yorkie. But that's a hairball guess, don't read into it. Calico reminds me of the mixes that you sometimes get with these two. This mix can appear younger if they get the poodle looking eyes. Yorkshires rarely look old. Don't hold into him being used as a stud to decide. I know you don't care. You just would like to know. But they will breed anything. Did they leave him there or was he picked up?

I have pictures in my album..i cant post them on here cuz they're too big or something. also his face is in the avatar picture on the left where it has my name. everyone else says he really is a full yorkie..so thats what i think, but i could care less cuz hes such a good baby
Also i had to change his food 2ce recently b/c i thought he was allergic, which i guess he wasnt. I had him on Eukanuba, what my pom is on, and he threw up....so i switched to sensitive systems purina with salmon and it made it WAY WORSE. So now hes back on eukanuba and doing much better..still no reason for the throw up..we're doing a barium study friday. Could the food switching be the reason for the hair loss?
