Barney is doing much better this morning. I would say that he is about 50% to 70% better. He is still quiet and tired but out of pain and discomfort for the most part.

He did throw up some bile at some point in the night. He did not want his ice cube this morning so I gave him 1 tbsp of water which he wanted. In fact, he wants more and when the others were having breakfast, he was sitting here staring at me like he wanted his. He also barked at the oil delivery and wanted to go see the squirrels from our back porch.

I heard from the vet - she had sent out his blood work and got it back (the readings were too high on the fat to get #s in house). The outside lab was able to get readings - I dont know what they were but she said his bloodwork looked very good all things considered. She also concluded that this is probably a mild attack as oppose to severe.

So my directions are to try the little bits of water, give him the pepcid and cerenia and if he cannot hold those down - to the hospital. We have to hold off on amoxicillin and metronidazole until he is on some food.

Things are looking up so far for Barney but until we're out of the woods, we're still in the woods...
