Lol, I love the way you think! I don't know if you'll have much success, if he's urging them on. I think I'd buy a stun gun and use it on him!
I haven't tested it with the doorbell yet, and I agree with the poster who allows them 30 seconds of barking after the doorbell rings. You want to use it very cautiously at first and exactly the right way. The first few times you use it will have the most impact, so if you screw up, or BF is egging them on, it might not work. When I use it, I always put my finger to my lips in a shushing fashion because Joey is so much better with hand signals than words. I want to be able to just do the shushing thing without the repeller.
