Ruby's nose in the winter will sometimes have a pink spot but I've been told it's similar to leather ear and it always clears up when the weather gets warmer/drier. I was thinking it's more along the lines of a fungus as opposed to an allergy. I know moist/humid conditions can cause the same problem for some.
