No, not at all, I can't explain how lightweight it is!! I think the bag is less than 2lbs itself no kidding. The material is not as heavy as leather, it so nice. I just can't get over how lightweight it is. Carrying Snick in it is effortless!! I don't think he will got hot at all, esp with the side vents. I am going to keep the back vent closed so no one can see his booty when he is not supposed to be seen
For the winters and colder times I do plan to get a small fleece blanket (a blank one with shimmery paws I hope.)
