He's only about 4 1/2 months old. It seems to be the norm to wait until 6 months to have them neutered. As livingdustmops said, this gives the boy time to have his testicles descend, as well as see if he retained any baby teeth. This way, you could have everything done at once (neuter and teeth pulling) and only have to put him under anesthesia once. Be assured that you're doing what's right for this little boy, and waiting a month and a half is probably best for him anyway. Give his manhood a chance to mature a little and it will be easier for you both to recover from his neuter.
