But, yes, several that have answered and provided information to this thread are experienced in breeding. Many have decided just as you have to begin breeding and have hit pitfalls and their responses are based on those experiences. Other's have taken the methodical way and studied, researched for years before obtaining their first show dog and Championed several before ever getting near a whelping box. There are MANY other factors that cause pups to wind up in shelters - I didn't mean to imply this is the sole cause. However I do feel strongly that this group of "breeders" certainly contributes to the problem.
