This is exactly as I see it. I think of this and cringe.
People breed a pet then the posts are what how do I stop my dog from going to the bathroom inside the house wherever they want (aka marking). They take it for granted that they are DOGS and that they are responsible for this behavior they created. Then when hubby says it's me or the dog who leaves?
It's irresponsible. But who is irresponsible? We aren't doing our jobs if we miss the opportunity to educate people about why not. We need to educate breed lovers and prospects. It's not about having all yorkies be show dogs. There are more people that do not care about the standard than people that do. It's not a crime & it doesn't make anyone wrong for it. But if everyone felt that way then nobody would have the yorkies that they have today.
There are so many reasons not to breed a pet. Not one of us could list them all alone. It's just not worth it. I wouldn't think of breeding with a lady that asked to breed to you. If she knows little enough about the breed to want to breed to your dog that she is willing to breed to your dog then she does not have a bitch that SHE should be breeding. I do not mean anything unkind to you. I know you asked for some advice and you love him. It's nice that you've asked. But she wouldn't have a male marking. You get that nice part of it. No thank you.
If someone cares about the breed and the pets that they have then they will alter all pet quality pets.
