Hi! I'm the last person who is going to lecture you. I understand your desire. The AKC may or may not "frown" on males and females living together but i say to them or anyone....get over it! my 9 yorkies all live togehter, love one another and would be lost without one another...now with that being said, yes i have to seperate them at times. i keep a careful watchful eye on my girls coming in season and i do seperate my 2 males when needed, and i always hate doing it , but it is a must. otherwise, we are one big happy family. good luck to you on whatever you decide. just make sure you have evaluated your girl before breeding her to make sure she has traits you would like to see in future puppies. have her tested by a vet and evaluated prior to breeding. otherwise, best wishes to you and yours!
