There are
a lot of people out there that don't care about the standard and many people that don't breed with the intention of meeting it. That is why there are so many posts on YT from members asking why their dog is so big, if it really is a pure Yorkie, if it is a Yorkie at all, why it doesn't have XYZ like Yorkies are supposed to etc etc. All things that are a result of irreputable breeders who didn't see these issues as "deterrents" and bred anyway.
