My pet peeve: It bothers me when people label dogs after a bad behavior. It creates all kinds of negative energy aimed at the dog. Biting is a
behavior that some dogs do, and all dogs have done it at some point in their lives. This doesn't mean it's a core part of their being, something they cannot be separated from. It can manifest out of fear, protection, and/or play. It can be controlled, or eliminated completely. My 3 year old rescue would go red zone when playing with her toys with me. She even rarely play bites (mouths) my hand now. It did take some work and determination on my part, and a lot of trust on hers. Most important is being consistant. Do not allow behaviors you don't want to see repeated. You must address the behavior each and every time you see it, and let the dog know in no uncertain terms that it will not be tolerated.
Sorry for the rant ...
