How much protein is in the food you're feeding?
I feed a grain free diet (usually around 35% protein) and I haven't had any problems with the blood work coming back with high protein levels. Now I did have a foster that had a high protein level and the vet diagnosed her with a UTI. She had definitely not been on a healthy diet, so a high protein food was not the source of her problems. As far as I know, UTI's appear with all kinds of diets, but I do believe some pups are more sensitive and should not be fed the higher protein foods.
