2 1/2 pounds doesn't mean he will be big. Actually it is pretty average. He should be between 6 and 7 pounds.. BUT that is only if he follows the growth charts. Most do NOT follow the charts.. so he could be bigger and he could be smaller. I have littermates who both weighed the same at birth... both weighed the same (within a few ounces at 12 weeks.. Now at almost 3 yrs one is 4 3/4 lbs.. the other is almost 8 lbs. |
