I agree and disagree with you about changes in a pup's personality once they become studs. My boys have definately remained loving and little lap dogs. More so than my girls.
The difficulty is training them to not hiest their leg. Difficult but, a doable with consistency. The most difficult thing to over come is when a girl is in Season..(they do tend to lose their brains and have a one tract mind)...boys do have the tendancy to go off food. So, at those times you may have to resort to hand feeding.

The above are minor issues and can be dealt with.
There was a link posted that should be read by everyone that is contemplating breeding. However, it only touches the surface of breeding responsibilities. There is much more, such as being there for the owner of the female to assist in the whelping if necessary. Are you able to take any puppies that the female's owner can't place? Or are you able to take any puppies back that have been placed and the owner of said puppy can't keep? And the list goes on and on.
Oh! Are you aware that should anything be genetically wrong with these pups, the stud is usually blamed (right or wrong), it's just a fact.
