Hi All...

Sam is 8 months old (as of Feb 26th)...He is being Nuetered on Friday (the 5th) first of all this is my first dog and i'm a very nervous mommy...i have some questions that i'm hoping that you guys can answer or at least give me a little insight...

1. He's about 10 lbs...how many stiches can i expect?
2. How long does it usually take to heal? (i'm having it done on a friday so that i can spend 2 straight days home with him)
3. Since he's 8 months and already hit puberty will he still calm down at all? (i don't really mind his puppy hyperness but i can't wait for the days when we can hang out on the couch and snuggle together :-)
4. I bought an E Collar yesterday and i put it on him for a few minutes to try to get him used to it...he HATED it!! i'm really worried that that is going to make the whole experience worse on him. I saw all the posts about the soft collars someone here makes but there is no way i'll be able to order one by friday...i'm pretty crafty and i can sew a little...does anyone know how to make them? I also so the post about the onsies, i thought about that too...do you think that would work for a boy?

Thank you all for any advice that you might have. I know i'm a total freak for worrying so much but he's my first pup and i love him so much...and he can't tell me when something is wrong. at least when my 5 year old son is in pain or sick he can tell me about it. poor Sam can't :-(
