While I have to agree in this case, I must point out that not all vets give good references to good pet owners.
Now what I mean by that is, there are some shots I choose not to give to my dogs. Does that make me a bad pet owner?
I do not give any vaccinations past the puppy shots / boosters. Does that make me a bad pet owner?
I do not purchase my foods and meds (if needed) from the vets. Does that make me a bad pet owner?
I do not run to the vet with every little issue and choose to treat my dogs at home (IF POSSIBLE).
Alot of Vets think Breeders who give puppy shots themselves are not good breeders. But I ask you, who knows your dogs best, you or the vet who sees them once a year for 15 minutes?
Please do not think I am anti-vet, I am not. I just think people should be judged on more then just a vet reference.
