Do I have to keep pulling really hard to get it out - my vet seems to pull so hard...help anyone..
You should be able to pull it out with your fingers, if not use a hemostat. Pull a little at a time. If the hair is greasy and stuck together in a big bunch, try combing the hair first with a "flea comb." I recently started using Vet Solutions ear cleanser per a recommendation here and it is wonderful!

Take a little at a time, pull fast and it will come out easily. You aren't hurting your pup.
