Does it ever get easier to leave them at the groomer and do they ever get used to it? Callie had a grooming appointment a 9am so we walked in and we went back to the grooming like room thing in petco and as soon as we got in the room she was standing up begging me to pick her up so I did and put her on my hip until the groomer checked us in and when I tried to set her on the counter to take her sweater and harness off it was near impossible and then she clung to me just griping with those paws. Oh my I almost cried its about the same everytime we take her to get groomed! I get the quick service so they do her and then call me and I come get her which only takes an hour or so and I go shop at the store right next door so I'm close when they call that shes ready. The women who grooms her always talks to her and calls her baby she just is so attached to me I guess, when I leave home to go somewhere she is never left alone always someone is babysitting her but she still just sleeps and does nothing else when I'm gone. Its just soooooo hard to leave her when shes not clinging to me that when she clings to me at the groomer its even worse leaving her. We try to do something fun for her when we pick her up like go to the other pet store and let her say hi to everyone and get her a millon toys. Today we even rode in a parking lot where there were geese because she likes to watch them. But when we get home she will not let me out of her site. Will she ever get used to going to the groomers? She will be 3 in May and has gone to a groomer sense she was a puppy.
