I buy the bag of Cod from Costco occasionally and have not had problems with bones but you never know. Is a good idea to be careful. When I would use fish to hide pills for my cat, I would tear pieces apart and squish a bit with my fingers and I could tell if there were bones. This process may sound weird but it basically allowed me to encase the pill.
