Default Changes in Eating Habits

Hey Everyone,

Just curious if others are finding this as well or if anyone else has some thoughts. I have a 4 year old yorkie who was diagnosed last June with microvascular displaysia. Hes always been freefed and never had a weight problem and has always been a healthy size and weight. Hes eating medi-cal vegetarian kibble since he was diagnosed last June and has been doing awesome on it.

Anyways, in the last few weeks i've noticed hes in a hurry to eat. Eating everything in the bowl as fast as he can so i've stopped keeping it filled and split his food into two meals per day. Hes his normal self, not sickly, full of energy, playing and everything but has anyone had a free feeding dog all of a sudden change their habits like that?

We live in Alberta so I was wondering if maybe part of it was boredom beacuse his personality isn't changed and hes pretty easy to read when he isn't feeling good. Just curious if anyone else has has this with their yorkies.

thanks!
