Hi my name is Callie and I live in SLC, Utah. I have become obsessed with Yorkies ever since my Mom got Giselle last year. She has truly changed my life and my heart has grown ever since we've had her. I've decided I really want one. I've recently been looking a lot and I've noticed there really aren't any reputable breeders in Utah. I have looked online and I've come across so many sites that sell puppies that I can't keep them all straight! However, my gut told me there is something wrong with ordering a life over the internet and having it shipped on a plane without ever seeing where it is coming from. My gut was right. The more I've researched, the more it breaks my heart to think these sorts of places are in business! I cry every time I read about puppy mills and the life these precious beings are subjected to just so some humans can make a buck! I refuse to support anyone in this business by giving them my money even though I may get a great companion in the end.
I just came across this forum and I'm glad I joined because I've already learned a lot. Also, I love being a part of something where people are as passionate about yorkies as I am, and even more so! I really want to find the perfect yorkie for me because I plan on having him/her as a family member for the next fifteen years of my life.
If anyone knows of a REPUTABLE, RESPONSIBLE, LOVING BREEDER that is looking to place a puppy in the hands of someone who will treat him/her like a family member I'd really like to be steered in their direction because I'm starting to wonder if I can trust anyone!? I think good breeders are just hard to find here. I will travel anywhere if I have to.
