I would just get pre blood work done prior to her surgery, just so they can make sure her levels are where they need to be. For the next 7 days, you will have to leash walk ONLY, keep the incision dry, don't let her lick at it, and no, no, no JUMPING!!!!!! They will probably give her some meds and sometimes the meds make them feel no pain, but still no jumping! Depending on if she stays over night at the vet, is a good thing, but I was able to pick Fiona up the same day, and when I took her home, I offered her very little water, if she held that down, I gave her some food.
