I've always had male dogs through the years. There were 3 mini poodles and 1 yorkie that passed at 13. Piper is my first female and she has given me a run for the money when it comes to house training. The males were very easy to train yet Piper was 8 months old before I could actually consider her house trained. Once my males were trained they never had accidents even if I was gone all day. Piper has to go out frequently or she will have accidents. My males always let me know when they needed to go out while Piper doesn't. I know she has to go out just by her body language. She gets fidgety and paces around I call it her potty dance. I wish she would just bark at the door the way the boys did. It's so much easier. When it came to learning basic commands Piper trained as easily as the boys.
